How armor combos worked (Legacy)
3/1 combos. You get a bonus effect for having 3 parts of one armor and 1 part of another armor. It doesn't matter which parts, you just need the 3/1 ratio.
Phoenix / Hydra combos don't follow the 3/1 rule. Each mix of Phoenix and Hydra parts gives its own effect, and the position matters (which part is Phoenix and which is Hydra).
2 Parts. Having 2 parts of any armor also triggers an additional bonus. Two pairs at once is a 2/2 combo and gives both bonuses.
Weapon colors. Pick a Maverick in the Weapon menu to see X with that weapon's colors. A full Phoenix, Hydra or CUA set switches to its own armor colors, shown on the center (X) icon.
Full armor. All 4 parts of the same armor. Ultimate and CUA only work as a full set and can't be mixed.
